Sneak Peak at what is coming soon...

Summer and vacation time are almost here.  When you make your vacation plans and plans to drop your pets off at the kennel, make plans to take your machine to your dealer too.  Have it cleaned and adjusted so it is in excellent working order when embroidery season hits.  Do the same with your scissors to be sharpened.  You will be glad you did when she runs like a top and gets all your gifts done without a problem.

Is your fabric stash getting out of control?  Can't find anything even when you KNOW you have it?  Here is a simple little trick.  Cut corrugated cardboard from old boxes to about 8/5x11 inches.  Fold your fabric selvage to selvage and then fold to selvage and wrap around those cardboard cut outs.  You will go from a mess to a masterpiece. .

RECIPE

I'm Stitch'n Hot Turkey Sandwiches
  • 1 frozen turkey breast with gravy pack (comes in a bag and looks about the size of a small football)
  • 2 cans cream of soup (your choice)
  • 1 package dry Lipton Onion Soup
  • Buns
  • Chips and pickles

When you get up in the morning, open the frozen turkey breast and remove the gravy pack.  Remove the webbing that is on the breast and put the breast into the crock pot. (you may have to put in cold water for just a bit to get webbing to release).

Add the dry soup mix, and both cans of cream of soup.  I like to use cream of chicken and cream of mushrooms and add a can of mushrooms because I love them.

Put the lid on the crock pot and cook on low for 6-8 hours.  Using a potato masher or large fork break the turkey breast apart till it is in small parts as for hot turkey sandwiches.  Stir all together and continue to cook on low till ready to eat.

Looks like you were working in the kitchen all day and you were really playing in the sewing room or garden.  This is a great dish to take to pot lucks and to serve at parties as well.
