Platinum Project
This is a GUY thing all the way

What guy wouldn’t love racetrack black and white and cars? Amaze him with your
embroidery on Toilet Paper. Fix a basket using the paper, towel and some
car shaped soap and you will be the hit of the day. Better than a t-shirt
or funky tie any day!
Perfect Gag Gift or Boss’s Day
Gift.
The design is exclusive to
"Platinum For Men" collection and was digitized by Carol Hoak
from Art in
Stitches. Project design by Lyn - A Design By Lyn

TEN Point
Embroidery Checklist
-
Did I
choose the correct design? Is it mirrored
right, it is right side up, is it in the right
place?
-
Is
anything under the hoop that shouldn't be?
Like the sleeves, the back of the garment, the cat's
tail?
-
If
sewing words.....SPELL CHUCK! SEE what I
mean??
-
Is
hoop tight together all the way around? If you
are worried it will pop with something thick...try
whip stitching it together. Takes a few
seconds, but will keep your design safe.
-
Is
sewing area free of clutter and stuff to catch on?
Nothing like that arm moving your hot coffee forward
right on to your lap....or worse yet your heirloom
embroidery. And no, not everyone likes that
tea stained look.
-
Do not
wear loose ties near the machine or when hooping, do
not have long hair near the machine. Do not
lean on the end of the hoop.
Do not bend over to pick up the scissors with a pony
tail in........you could find the embroidery hoop
attached to your hair.
-
Check
Bobbin! Is it in, is it full, is it in right?
-
Check
Needle! Is it ALL the way in and tight, is it
the right size?
-
Correct stabilizer on bottom and on top?
Hooped stabilizer, float stabilizer, float topper or
hooped topper or a combination.
-
Looks
like you are ready to poke start.........just one
more caution. If you sit and watch the machine
all will be well. But if you run out of the
room just for a second the gremlins will have fun
and you will be sorry! It only takes ONE time
for a bobbin to catch, a thread to wrap around the
wheel, or something to jam to put your machine in
the hospital for weeks. And if you have pets,
watch them very carefully....they love to watch the movement
and want to "help".
